How to Grow Linum from Seed
A hardy splash of colour and easy to grow.
Flax, or Linum, seed can be sown from February to May, either in seed trays or directly into the ground. Germination normally occurs with 14 – 21 days at 65F.
When the Linum seedlings are about 2-4 inches tall they can be transfered into the garden, usually from April or potted on into 3 inch pots for planting out later.
It is unlikely that you will need to sow again in successive years as Flax self seeds marvellously.
