Rudbeckia Triloba Golden Delight
Rudbeckia trilobaLatin name
Black-eyed Susan, Brown-eyed SusanCommon name
A wonderful new filler or accent flower for bouquets with bright yellow 1 ½”-2 ½” flowers with a small black centre. The well branched stems have few leaves making it an excellent cut flower or filler for arrangements. 4-5'. HP.
How to Grow Rudbeckia triloba from Seed
Sow indoors during Feb-April in moist well drained seed compost covering with a fine layer of vermiculite. Germination normally takes around 10-14 days at 68F. If there is no germination after 3 or 4 weeks we suggest the seed tray is moved to a refridgerator for 4 weeks and then returned to the warmth. Transplant the seedlings into 9cm pots when large enough to handle and grow on cooler. Once any danger of frost is passed plant out into their final position. Plants prefer a well drained position in full sun. Divide the plants every few years in the Spring as soon as new growth appears.
