SALVIA HORMINUM MONARCH MIXED

A wonderful mixture of plants producing many stems, each bearing colourful bracts in pink, white and blue shades.   Perfect for garden borders and ideal as fresh and dried cut flowers.  18”.  HA.

Sow from February to April. Sow seed on to the surface of a damp, free-draining, quality seed compost, covering very lightly with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.

Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and maintain a temperature of 20-25C (68-77F) until germination, which usually occurs from 7-21 days.

Transplant seedlings once they are large enough to handle. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out once all risk of frost has passed. Space 30cm (12in) apart.
