 | TIMELESS NASTURTIUMS GIFT PACK Ref: 1946C Six of the most sought after Nasturtiums in one lovely handpainted packet for that difficult or forgotten occasion. What's more the plants are edible. 10-12inches. HA. Originally a native of Peru and its surrounding regions, these plants have inherited the same lovingly flamboyant dress sense of the people. Grown as a bedding plant it's without equal. As a culinary plant it's a 'moreish' salad ingredient because of its spicy peppery taste. As a garden 'patchwork quilt' you'll find it hard to match any two flowers rejoicing in such descriptive names as Clotted Cream, Apricot Trifle, Alaska, Raspberry Sorbet and Cherry Crumble. A fruit bowl of easy to grow colours in SIX SEPARATELY LABELLED SACHETS for seemingly overnight colour.
PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS Sow individual seeds 12-15inches apart where they are to flower approx. 2inches deep. If growing for baskets place 2 seeds in a 3inches pot ready for transplanting without disturbance. In both cases keep well watered and do not feed.
NASTURTIUM STRAWBERRIES & CREAM Soft creamy petals and five large 'strawberry blotches' at the base of each petal. Very showy and our seed is hand selected. 12inches. HHA. Contains 30 seeds.
NASTURTIUM CHERRY CRUMBLE Semi-double flowers with folded 'pastry edges' in the most delicious of colours obviously good enough to eat - as it is! 12inches. HHA. Contains 25 seeds.
NASTURTIUM ALASKA Marbled foliage of cream and green add to this wonderful top flowering variety in at least 8 different shades. 10-12inches. HHA. Contains 25 seeds.
NASTURTIUM APRICOT TRIFLE Unusually crinkly petals, deep bluish leaves and a colour almost beyond description. Apricot salmon and masses of top held flowers in double and semi-double form. Very rich indeed. 12inches. HHA. Contains 30 seeds.
NASTURTIUM CLOTTED CREAM Deep cream but rich in flower numbers and very persistant. A few volunteer seeds will reappear year after year. 12inches. HHA. Contains 25 seeds.
NASTURTIUM RASPBERRY SORBET Most unusual raspberry pink and such a long way off the harsh orange/red so common today. Almost edible (it is!) and absolutely distinct. Highly fashionable and desirable. 12inches. HHA. Contains 25 seeds.
PROFESSIONAL TIP Don't ever feed - they'll flower better. Occasionally spray for black fly with nothing more than 'washing up water' EXCEPT the plants you intend to 'devour'.
