What's more, after forcing their attention on you the whole summer, they deliberately take a nap before bursting forth again in the spring. This packet contains SIX SEPARATELY LABELLED SACHETS all begging to be sown.
PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS
Sow 3/4inches deep either very early in the year (January/February) or August/September. When 3-4inches tall, plant into individual pots (3inches) using any good potting compost and keep sheltered until planting into the garden in May or October.
HOLLYHOCK ARABIAN NIGHTS (Alcea rosea nigra)
Shimmering black with a deep red eye. 5-6'. HB. Contains 50 seeds.
HOLLYHOCK DOUBLE APRICOT (Alcea rosea)
Mouthwatering colour and most precisely placed double flowers. 5-6'. HB. Contains 30 seeds.
HOLLYHOCK DOUBLE APPLEBLOSSOM (Alcea rosea)
Delicate double cushion surrounded by a frilly collar. 5-6'. HB. Contains 30 seeds.
HOLLYHOCK EAST COAST HYBRIDS (Alcea rosea)
Black, slate grey, rust, copper and tangerine to name but a few from this ancient mixture grown at least 60 years ago in East Anglia. 5-6'. HB. Contains 50 seeds.
HOLLYHOCK DOUBLE MOONLIGHT (Alcea rosea)
Moonlight white or moonlight yellow. Either way its as delicious as lemon meringue and very double. 5-6'. HB. Contains 30 seeds.
HOLLYHOCK DOUBLE ICEBERG (Alcea rosea)
Solid white and as tough as its namesake. Never fades whatever the weather. 5-6'. HB. Contains 30 seeds.
PROFESSIONAL TIP
Cut down after flowering and apply a few slug pellets before overwintering.
